MasterChief was designed as a faceless character who never removes his helmet, so his actual face has never been seen. MasterChief is a Spartan II Commando of the UNSC Naval Special Warfare Command who has earned every medal possible, apart from the prisoner of war medal.

He is simply known as MasterChief to humans and as the “Demon” by the Covenant, his sworn enemies.
